Job summary

HiredFirst in New York invites an experienced RN for a Contract Critical Care role. You will provide care across ICU, ED and Med/Surg, floating between GGH and SSMH as needed.

The position offers full-time night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend and holiday requirements, plus on-call shifts. Ideal candidates hold an NYS RN license, a BSN, and at least one year in critical care, telemetry, or Med/Surg.

Qualifications

• Active NYS RN License – Required
• BSN – Required
• Minimum 1 year experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Critical Care – Required
• Must be cross-trained and able to float between ICU, ED, Med/Surg, MST
• BLS, ACLS, PALS – Required
• NIHSS – Required
• Basic Coronary Care – within 6 months of hire
• CPI certification – within 90 days of hire

RN – Critical Care (Contract) – NY 14465

Pay: $2,108 – $2,365

Schedule:

Full-Time, 3x12-hour Night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Every other weekend (EOW) required

Holidays required

2 on-call shifts per 4-week period

Requirements

• Active NYS RN License – Required
• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) – Required
• Minimum 1 year experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Critical Care – Required
• Must be cross-trained and comfortable floating to ICU, ED, Med/Surg, MST units
• Certifications (AHA or RQI only):
• BLS, ACLS, PALS – Required
• NIHSS – Required
• Basic Coronary Care – within 6 months of hire
• CPI certification – within 90 days of hire

Preferred:

• Emergency Nurses Association certification (within 2 years)
• TNCC (within 2 years)
• Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office
