Job summary

American Advanced Management Inc. seeks an experienced ICU/ Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) to supervise nursing care for critically ill patients and oversee other licensed staff under their direction.

The RN will assess needs, plan, implement, and document care while educating patients and coordinating with the team. Requires an accredited nursing degree, active state RN license, 2–3 years acute care experience, and BLS/ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must hold a current state license and renew as per State Board of Nursing.
• Minimum 2–3 years acute care experience required.
• Critical Care experience preferred.
• Complete a critical care course within 3 months of hire.
• Read, write and speak English with good verbal and written skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• BLS and ACLS Certification required.
• Specialty Certification recognized.
• PICC Line Insertion Certification recognized.

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The ICU / CRITICAL CARE Registered Nurse (RN) performs those activities for which the RN has been prepared through education, training, and experience. The RN provides nursing supervision in the planning for and provision of nursing care to critically ill patients and directs and evaluates care given by other licensed nurses and personnel. The RN provides education, assesses needs, plans for, implements, evaluates and documents care being provided by nursing staff to each patient. The Critical Care RN is responsible both for nursing care directly provided by that nurse and the care provided by others under her/his supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must hold a current state license and must maintain license renewal in accordance with the standards of the State Board of Nursing.
• Minimum 2 - 3 years acute care experience required.
• Critical Care experience is preferred.
• Successful completion of a critical care course within 3 months of hire.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as possess good verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• BLS and ACLS Certification required
• Specialty Certification recognized
• PICC Line Insertion Certification recognized
