Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Brentwood, TN to join our correctional healthcare team. This contract position offers flexibility with shift availability, 8 or 12 hour shifts, and travel pay details.

Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year RN experience, TN RN license, BLS, and strong English communication; benefits include travel stipends and a range of employee perks.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months of RN experience.
• Valid and current TN RN license.
• Valid BLS card (American Heart Association).
• Proficiency in English for communication with staff and patients.

Responsibilities

• Provides general nursing care to patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments according to nursing techniques.
• Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatments and examinations.
• Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, notifies supervisor or physician.
• Takes vital signs to detect deviations and assess condition.
• May serve as leader for group rendering nursing care.
• Additional RN duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Travel Pay: $24.00 / Hour

Travel Pay: Hrly $24.00, Stipend (Lodging $672.00 + M&I $134) = $1,085.00,

Total Comp :$1,949.00

Travel Eligibility: Candidates must live at least 70 miles from the facility to qualify for Travel Pay.

Full Time Schedules

Some weekends may be required

8 or 12 hour shifts available depending on the facility

Contract Position (flexible with shift availability is a plus)

Nights Auto offers 13 Weeks each 36 hours guaranteed/ must have open availability

Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provides general nursing care to patients
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
• Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatments and examinations of patients.
• Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
• Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient.
• May serve as leader for group of personnel rendering nursing care to number of patients.
• Additional RN duties given by Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least one year (12 months) of experience as a Registered Nurse
• A valid and current RN license issued by the State of TN
• A valid and current BLS card (American Heart Association)
• Proficiency in the English language is necessary for communication with other staff and patients. RN must be able to communicate effectively in oral and written English.
• Must possess current licensure in the state of employment.
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
