Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Coronary Care Unit C-6 in Newark, NJ. This full-time day shift role emphasizes high-quality patient care, teamwork, and continuous clinical improvement within a leading New Jersey health system.

You will assess and care for cardiac patients, document thoroughly in EPIC, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe, effective treatment plans. Growth opportunities and education support are available.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification upon hire.
• ACLS must be completed within 120 days of hire.
• CCRN preferred.
• Associate Science in Nursing degree required; Bachelor's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, patients and families.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and detect subtle clinical changes.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care grounded in clinical judgment.
• Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers for timely care decisions.
• Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record to promote safety.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and seamless transitions of care.
• Support a collaborative team environment with shared accountability.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth through continuing education and clinical ladders.
