Responsibilities

• Coordinate surgical services activities and tasks to support patient care.
• Coordinate clinical patient care of surgical services.
• Serve as a technical or functional resource for staff and perform similar patient care duties.
• Assign, monitor, and review work progress.
• Monitor and report compliance with policies and procedures.
• Coordinate shift operations including scheduling, activities, and resources.
• Evaluate and oversee orientation and training of staff.
• Provide input in staff performance reviews.
• Oversee utilization and maintenance of supplies, instruments, and equipment.

Requirements

• Licensure / Certification / Registration:
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credential from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire or transfer.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at the time of hire.

Additional Preferences

• Strongly preferred: Nurse educator background.
