The role focuses on delivering coordinated, high-quality care that supports higher patient satisfaction and lower total costs, while guiding a team to improve station or unit flow and safety for patients and families.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse Coordinator provides direct nursing care by applying clinical nursing knowledge and skills, and ensures the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational, and professional standards.
• Provide team leadership to enhance station or unit flow and functioning.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved RN nursing program
• Valid and current Texas RN license
• Current BCLS through American Heart Association
• 2+ years of experience in a clinical area related to the assigned department
• Experience leading a team
• Ability to use equipment and related supplies for the designated patient population and for CPR, oxygen administration and intravenous therapy

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• ACLS
• Specialty nursing certification appropriate to the assigned area
• 2+ years of ambulatory care experience
• Supervisory experience
• Windows-based computer skills

Compensation and Benefits

Pay is based on factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. The hourly pay for this role ranges from $34.23 to $61.15 per hour based on full-time employment.
