Job summary

Affinity Home Health Care Inc in Hickory is seeking an RN Coordinator for ED Flow/Throughput to improve patient movement within the Emergency Department. You will coordinate staffing, triage, EMS handoffs, and transfers while providing clinical guidance and leadership.

You will partner with physicians and nurses to remove barriers, support safety initiatives, and escalate issues during urgent situations to ensure safe, organized, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• RN licensed registered nurse with current state license.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Certifications in ACLS, BCLS, PALS, and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention obtained within timelines.
• Strong coordination, communication and leadership capabilities.

Role Overview:

The RN Coordinator for ED Flow/Throughput ensures efficient patient movement through the Emergency Department by coordinating staffing, patient placement, triage, EMS handoffs, and inpatient transfers. They provide clinical guidance, support safety initiatives, and collaborate with care teams to remove barriers, especially during urgent situations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Cardiac Life Support, PALS, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (obtained within specified timelines)
• Strong coordination, communication, and leadership skills
