How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare: Sign on Bonus The Enhanced Monitoring Unit is a 27-bed specialty step‑down environment focused on gastrointestinal (GI) and pulmonary care. Our patients require comprehensive monitoring and interventions that bridge the gap between intensive care and acute medical‑surgical nursing. With a focus on innovation and teamwork, the Enhanced Monitoring Unit provides nurses with a unique opportunity to expand their knowledge, grow professionally, and make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.
As a registered nurse, you are expected to consistently deliver the best in care and customer service and demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with our patients, their families, visitors, and with each other. As part of the health care team, RNs assume primary accountability for nursing coordination and provision of individualized care for patients of all ages. The registered nurse also utilizes delegation and critical thinking skills to provide quality service through a team‑oriented, collaborative approach to patient care. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimum outcomes. Conducts age‑specific admission and ongoing assessments, documents findings, and develops a plan of care. Collaborates with the health care team, patient, and family to develop an interdisciplinary plan of care and revises this plan as patient status changes. Administers treatments and medications accurately, documents using automated computer systems including electronic medical records. Identifies and meets patient/family educational needs, incorporates them into the care plan, and documents accordingly. Contributes to performance‑improvement activities, acts as patient advocate, and provides psychological, social, and cultural support. Applies knowledge of growth and development to care for all served. Determines and performs within clinical, leadership, or education pathways to support evidence‑based, quality patient care. Demonstrates clinical expertise in rapidly changing circumstances and plans strategies to reduce length of stay, turnaround time, and resource usage while improving outcomes. Functions as a role model for clinical practice, guides coworkers, students, and physicians, manages resources, establishes priorities, and modifies the environment as needed. Completes manager/director projects on time and per guidelines, uses problem‑solving methods to resolve patient and personnel situations, participates in new employee orientation, provides staff feedback, contributes to unit, hospital, or system activities that facilitate staff input into decision making, and assists with educational activities for the unit or department.
Compensation Range: $33.52 – $50.28. Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The salary range does not include benefits or pension plans.
