Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital in Cleveland, OH, seeks an experienced RN to join the 5th Floor General Medicine/Geriatric Medicine Unit. This 59-bed unit cares for adults and geriatric patients with medical, neurological, and telemetry needs. The role requires empathy, effective communication, and teamwork to provide high-quality, life-saving care.

The position involves night shifts 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. with every other weekend/holiday rotation.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN).
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
One year of acute care RN experience or military RN experience.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care.
Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to achieve outcomes.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
Educate patients and families with educational materials considering cultural issues.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing protocol.
