Job summary

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, NJ is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. This on-site role requires current NJ RN licensure, BLS and IV certification, and BSN progress or completion within three years.

Qualifications

• Current NJ licensure as RN required.
• BLS & IV certification required.
• BSN required or enrollment in BSN program with completion expected within three years.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat and provide patient care appropriate to patient age.
• Document initial assessment and nursing actions.
• Plan, implement and evaluate patient care based on assessments.
• Initiate referrals to other departments and educate patients and families.
• Communicate patient information during shift handoffs and with care teams.
• Transcribe physician orders accurately and seek clarification when needed.
• Administer IV medications and titrate infusions per protocol.
• Ensure emergency equipment is checked and functional.
