Job summary

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care across all units. The role requires current NJ RN licensure, BLS and IV certifications, and BSN or enrollment with completion within three years.

Responsibilities include assessment, treatment, and coordination of patient care with the healthcare team, documentation, patient and family teaching, and participation in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Current NJ RN license is required.
• BLS and IV certifications are required.
• One year addiction medicine experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and provide patient care appropriate to patient age and development.
• Document initial observation and assessment for immediate nursing action.
• Systematically assess nursing needs and document changes in the clinical picture.
• Plan, implement, and document care based on assessment.
• Coordinate referrals to other departments and outside agencies when needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and communicate patient care information during shift changes.
• Administer IV medications following policies and procedures.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and infection control practices.
• Provide orientation and supervision to CNA and other staff as assigned.
