Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Cozad in Cozad, Nebraska is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our skilled nursing facility team. The RN will provide direct patient care, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians and therapists to ensure high-quality outcomes.

This full-time/part-time position offers mentoring opportunities for LPNs and CNAs, ensures regulatory compliance, and requires NE RN licensure with BLS; ACLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited program
• Current RN license in NE
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, assessments, treatment planning, and administer medications.
• Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to implement care plans.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and supervise nursing staff (LPNs and CNAs) and ensure adherence to care protocols.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in plans for stabilization.
