Job summary

Thundermist Health Center in Woonsocket, RI, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join a collaborative, mission-driven care team. You will triage calls, deliver vaccines, provide nurse visits, and support patients across birth through late adulthood in family medicine, pediatrics, OB/GYN, and behavioral health.

You'll rely on clinical judgment daily, document care in EMR, and coordinate with providers and medical assistants to promote health equity and high-quality, patient-centered

Qualifications

• Current State of Rhode Island Registered Nurse license.
• CPR certification.
• Strong triage, assessment, and documentation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with patients, providers, and community agencies.
• Three or more years of nursing experience preferred - new RN graduates are welcome to apply.
• Ambulatory health care experience is a plus; candidates who don’t meet every preferred qualification are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Use clinical judgment across a wide scope of nursing practice in a multidisciplinary team.
• Triage calls and determine appropriate disposition for patients.
• Perform nurse visits and provide health education.
• Administer vaccines and provider-ordered treatments.
• Support prenatal, pediatric, and family planning care.
• Coordinate care and document in the EMR with accuracy.
• Respond to codes and rapid responses.
• Review labs and notify providers of abnormal results.
