Job summary

Thundermist Health Center in Wakefield, Rhode Island is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join a collaborative, mission-driven care team. You'll deliver culturally competent care across ages and specialties, triage calls, manage nurse visits, vaccines, and clinical support for MAs and providers.

You’ll rely on clinical judgment daily, document vital signs, perform assessments, and coordinate with providers to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Rhode Island Registered Nurse license current.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong triage, assessment, and documentation skills.
• Effective communication with patients, providers and community agencies.
• Ambulatory health care experience is a plus; all qualified applicants encouraged.
• Commitment to culturally competent, patient-centered care and health equity.

Responsibilities

• Triage calls and determine appropriate disposition (provider visit, urgent care, ER, or self-care guidance).
• Perform nurse visits and provide evidence-based health education.
• Administer vaccines, injections, and provider-ordered treatments.
• Support obstetric and pediatric patients with triage and education.
• Coordinate care, review labs/imaging, and communicate results to providers.
• Respond to codes and rapid responses; document care plans and orders.
