Job summary

Lake Charles Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work with a patient care team using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate direct patient care. The RN provides hands-on care, makes sound clinical decisions, and delivers comprehensive care to each patient.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams from admission to discharge, follow evidence-based policies, participate in huddles and hourly rounds, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of School of Nursing.
• Current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or compact state license as RN.
• BLS-CPR Certified.
• Ability to read, write and speak intelligible English; communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Uses nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care.
• Provide hands-on patient care and educate patients and families.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team from admit to discharge.
• Adheres to unit policies, huddles, hourly rounding, and Service Excellence principles.

Education

Graduate of School of Nursing

Louisiana Registered Nurse license

BLS-CPR Certified
