Job summary

LewisGale Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) in the Progressive Care Unit. The CNC delivers patient-centered care and coordinates unit functions, partnering with management to monitor nursing care per policy.

Responsibilities include coordinating patient care with a multidisciplinary team, assisting admissions/discharges, supporting outcomes, coaching staff, and helping with scheduling.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• ACLS and BCLS (or instructors) must be obtained within specified timelines.
• 1 year of RN experience.
• Associate or Bachelor degree required.

• Coordinate, evaluate, and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Assist with admission and discharge processes.
• Support improved outcomes and service with leadership and SMEs.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and training to staff.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit. In partnership with the management team, the CNC monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies. The CNC serves as a resource for staff and supports an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Partner with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
• Assist with admission and discharge processes.
• Partner with subject matter experts and leadership team to support improved outcomes and service.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement.
• Assist with staff scheduling.

What qualifications you will need:

• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
• 1 year of RN experience
