Qualifications

• Current MS RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of direct nursing experience; 2 years in long-term care recommended.
• Education options: a three-semester credit course on adult teaching and learning concepts OR 40 hours continuing education in adult teaching and learning concepts OR 1 year of teaching adults as a faculty member OR 1 year supervising nursing assistants.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the CNA Training Program and ensure compliance with MS Board of Nursing standards.
• Collect and maintain data on student performance and outcomes to monitor quality and effectiveness.
• Develop partnerships with community and employers to enhance student benefits and job placement.
• Provide written reports to the MS Board of Nursing and ensure program meets federal and state requirements.
• Supervise and manage Nursing Department staff; conduct performance evaluations and staff development.
• Coordinate clinical facilities and ensure confidentiality and integrity of student data.
• Lead program curricula development and ensure instruction meets board standards and industry credentials.
• Support student success through case management and transitional services toward employment or further education.
