Job summary

You will collaborate with the unit manager on staffing, safety, and performance improvement while supporting accreditation standards and evidence-based practice across the unit.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN with commitment to obtaining BSN within 5 years.
• Minimum 3 years of acute care nursing experience.
• Leadership experience in a clinical setting (Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of maternal-child health populations and services.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and nursing process skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to lead and mentor staff.
• Professional nursing certifications relevant to clinical practice and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff development: hiring, orientation, and performance evaluation.
• Provide clinical assessment and mentoring on off-shifts.
• Plan staffing with unit manager and manage budgets.
• Coordinate daily operations and urgent care prioritization.
• Act as primary contact for customers; ensure quality standards.
• Promote evidence-based practice and quality metrics.
