Qualifications

• BSN preferred; ADN candidates must enroll in an accredited BSN program within 3 years and complete the degree within 5 years.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient RN experience in a clinical setting.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions, identify nursing diagnoses, and develop comprehensive care plans aligned with clinical standards and patient goals.
• Implement direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, patient education, and family support specific to women's and newborn health.
• Delegate and supervise nursing tasks appropriately, ensuring quality and compliance with established protocols.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record, maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate pertinent patient and family information clearly to healthcare team members, physicians, and other clinical staff.
• Identify variances from expected patient outcomes and actively participate in implementing corrective solutions.
• Maintain current clinical knowledge in women's and newborn nursing through ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.

Schedule:3-12 Hour Shifts from 6:30p-7a; Weekend and holiday requirement

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Candidates with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) must be willing to enroll in an accredited BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of start date. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Minimum 1 year of inpatient RN experience in a clinical setting.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
