Job summary

First Flight Health Centers seeks an RN Clinical Trainer to lead onboarding, education, and workflow optimization across our Ohio clinics. You will serve as the NextGen EHR expert, develop training materials, and support quality initiatives to improve patient care and regulatory compliance.

Travel between locations is required, and you will partner with clinical and IT teams to standardize processes, monitor competencies, and ensure ongoing staff development.

Qualifications

• RN license in Ohio (unrestricted) required.
• Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience required; five (5) years preferred in primary care/ambulatory settings.
• Demonstrated experience using NextGen EHR and delivering staff training preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with ability to travel between locations.

Responsibilities

• Acts as organizational lead for clinical staff competency management and professional development.
• Delivers onboarding and ongoing education for clinical support staff on workflows including patient registration, intake, rooming, documentation, orders, referrals, care coordination, billing support, and quality measures.
• Provides hands-on support to reinforce workflow adoption and ensure adherence to clinical, operational, and regulatory standards.
• Assists with onboarding of new staff and implementation of new health center locations, including training delivery and policy implementation.
• Collaborates with leadership and cross-functional teams to evaluate workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization.
• Supports effective use of NextGen EHR tools, templates, registries, and quality reporting resources.
• Liaises between clinical staff, operations, and IT to identify system issues and support EHR enhancements.
• Provides education on integrated care delivery models and coordination across services.
