Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for Clinical Supervisor - Weekend. The role supports planning, coordination, and evaluation of patient care across designated areas, serving as a clinical resource for staff and patients.

Full-time 36 hours per week, day shift. Requires Missouri RN license (or compact), education options (ADN/ Diploma/ BSN) and BLS; 3–5 years hospital experience; weekend supervision requested.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with active Missouri RN license.
• 3–5 years of hospital nursing experience.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of unit operations and patient care.
• Serve as clinical resource for staff and patients.
• Act as staff nurse in department as needed.
• Assume delegated managerial duties and support change initiatives.
• Provide weekend coverage as a Clinical Supervisor-RN.

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule:Full-Time | 36 hours/week

Shift:Day Shift

Qualifications

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing


• Nursing Diploma


• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience:3-5 years of hospital nursing experience

Certifications

• Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education:BSN preferred


• Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred


• Experience:Prior management experience - experience within change management

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs. regularly


• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift


• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
