Job summary

Mercy hospital South in St. Louis, MO is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) – Clinical Supervisor for the Weekend shift. This full-time role covers 36 hours per week during day shifts, with responsibilities spanning planning, coordination, and evaluation of patient care in designated areas.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience, Missouri RN license (compact accepted), and BLS certification. BSN preferred; leadership experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain an active Missouri RN license or compact license per state regulations.
• BLS certification required at hire or within 30 days.
• 3-5 years hospital nursing experience preferred.
• BSN degree preferred; additional state licensure or specialty certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of operations and patient care for designated areas.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff and patients in the department.
• Perform staff nurse duties in the department as needed and support weekend operations.
• Assume managerial duties delegated by the manager and support change management initiatives.

Schedule:Full-Time | 36 hours/week

Shift:Day Shift

Qualifications

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing


• Nursing Diploma


• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience:3-5 years of hospital nursing experience

Certifications

• Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education:BSN preferred


• Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred


• Experience:Prior management experience - experience within change management

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs. regularly


• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift


• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
