Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as Clinical Supervisor for the Weekend shift. This full-time role (36 hours/week) supports planning, coordination, and evaluation of patient care in designated areas while acting as a clinical resource for staff.

The position requires 3–5 years of hospital nursing, Missouri RN licensure (or compact license), and BLS. BSN preferred; additional state licenses or certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with RN licensure in Missouri or a compact state.
• 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate operations and patient care in designated areas.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff and patients in the department.
• Functions as staff nurse in the department as needed; assumes managerial duties delegated by a manager.

Schedule:Full-Time | 36 hours/week

Shift:Day Shift

Qualifications

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing


• Nursing Diploma


• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience:3-5 years of hospital nursing experience

Certifications

• Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education:BSN preferred


• Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred


• Experience:Prior management experience - experience within change management

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs. regularly


• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift


• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
