Job summary

Mercy Hospital South is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join as Clinical Supervisor for weekends. This full-time position supports operations and patient care in designated areas, serving as a clinical resource and stepping in as staff nurse as needed.

Managerial duties may be delegated by leadership to support day-to-day operations. The role requires an RN license in Missouri (or compact), 3–5 years hospital nursing experience, and BLS certification with potential BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with ADN, Diploma, or BSN.
• Must hold and maintain a current RN license in Missouri or compact licensure.
• 3–5 years of hospital nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of operations and patient care in designated areas.
• Serves as a clinical resource for staff and patients in the department.
• Functions as staff nurse in the department as needed.

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule:Full-Time | 36 hours/week

Shift:Day Shift

Qualifications

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience: 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience

Certifications:

• Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education:BSN preferred
• Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience:Prior management experience - experience within change management

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs. regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
