Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Supervisor (RN) in Lakeland, FL to lead a team delivering in-home nursing care. This leadership role combines clinical expertise with program oversight, ensuring that field staff meet Aveanna's standards of excellence while coordinating start-of-care and transitions from facilities to home settings.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license in Florida, has at least 1 year of hands-on nursing experience, and is willing to travel to patient homes

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the practicing state.
• At least 1 year of hands-on nursing experience.
• Willingness to supervise in-home nursing for all ages.
• Ability to travel within the designated territory.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; pass MVR.
• Current CPR certification (AHA or ARC).

Responsibilities

• Manage internal casework and nurse talent development.
• Perform Start of Care Assessments and Re-evaluations for home care.
• Review physician orders and update care plans.
• Assist in interviewing, training, and validating new clinical staff.
• Enhance clinical expertise of field staff for safe, high-quality care.
• Collaborate with operations and business development teams.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Position Details

• Compensation: $65,000+ annual salary up to variable pay potential (mileage, quarterly bonuses, paid rotating on-call).
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours; in office full-time with on-call rotations.
• Location: Lakeland, FL 33815, in-home visits + office

This leadership position combines clinical expertise and administrative responsibilities, managing a caseload of medically fragile patients while ensuring that care delivered by field staff exceeds the Aveanna Clinical Standard of Excellence. Key components include internal case management, assisting with hospital discharges, coordinating start-of-care processes, and validating nurse competencies. This position offers the opportunity to mentor and guide field staff in patient homes while driving positive outcomes in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage internal casework and evaluate nursing talent development.
• Perform “Start of Care Assessments” and “Re-evaluations” to transition patients from facilities to home care.
• Review physicians’ orders and update care plans and documentation as needed.
• Assist in interviewing, selecting, training, and validating new clinical staff.
• Enhance the clinical expertise of field staff to ensure safe, high-quality nursing care.
• Collaborate with the operations and business development team.
• Ensure compliance with State, Federal, Local, and Aveanna policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Current, good-standing RN license in the state of practice.
• At least 1 year of hands-on nursing experience.
• Ability to travel to patients’ homes within the designated territory.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and ability to pass MVR check.
• Current CPR certification (AHA or ARC).
• Willingness to supervise nurses providing in-home skilled nursing care to infants, children, adolescents, and adults.
