Job summary

Hartford HealthCare’s Backus Hospital in Norwich seeks a RN Clinical Services Lead to guide clinical teams during the 7pm-7am shift. You will oversee patient flow, ensure safety, and collaborate with leadership to maintain quality care across the unit.

Required are an RN license in CT, an associate degree in nursing education (BSN preferred), and strong leadership skills to drive performance and regulatory compliance in a high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing Education required; BSN preferred.
• Active Registered Nurse license from the State of Connecticut.
• 2 years of acute care nursing experience required; 1 year as charge or preceptor preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Additional certifications may be required in specific specialties.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with unit manager and educator to monitor staff performance and outcomes.

Job Summary

The RN Clinical Services Lead is part of the leadership team and recognized as a clinical expert in one or more functional areas, providing leadership, knowledge, experience and research expertise to the team. This position leads or directs the work to ensure the overall movement of patients throughout the unit is managed in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with regulatory guidelines, policies and procedures. This position also facilitates solutions for challenging patient care situations and collaborates with the unit manager and educator to monitor and maintain staff performance and outcomes. In addition, this position supports team members in alignment with HHC’s vision, core values and leadership behaviors.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing Education; Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred
• 2 years of acute care nursing experience required; 1 year of acute care charge or preceptor experience preferred
• Active Registered Nurse license from the State of Connecticut required
• BLS required
• Other certifications may be required in specific specialties

• Strong ability to problem solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment and in emergency situations.

• Strong experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
