Job summary

Stoughton Health is seeking a Clinical Quality Specialist for a full-time role at our facility. You will monitor care quality by reviewing patient records, coordinating chart reviews, and reporting on professional practice evaluations.

The position requires a Wisconsin RN license with at least three years of nursing experience, a related bachelor's degree (master's preferred), and familiarity with healthcare quality standards. On-site initial schedule with a later hybrid option.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse and current RN license in Wisconsin.
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (preferred).
• Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, formulas, chart preparation).

Responsibilities

• Review patient medical records to monitor the quality of patient care.
• Coordinate chart reviews, write peer review case descriptions, document committee materials, and follow‑up work.
• Gather and track practitioner outcomes for the Medical Care Evaluation (MCE) Committee and report findings to support OPPE and FPPE.
• Serve as the hospital’s liaison to the accreditation agency, managing communications, survey preparation, coordination of the survey team, and post‑survey evidence of standards compliance.
• Participate as a standing member on the Performance Improvement Council, Inpatient Leadership Team, Emergency Management, Infection Prevention, Environment of Care, Patient Safety Committee, and the Rural Wisconsin Healthcare Cooperative (RWHC) Roundtable.
• Stay current on clinical quality and best‑practice initiatives and support clinical quality teams.
