Job summary

UVA Health's Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic is seeking a Clinical Program Coordinator to partner with vascular and cardiac teams. This role combines nursing expertise with program development, education, data analysis, and community engagement on a largely onsite basis at UVA Hospital.

You will help shape programs, translate clinical data into improvements, and lead outreach initiatives while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary partners to advance vascular care.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited nursing program
• MS in a related field within 4 years of hire
• Three years progressive nursing experience and clinical nursing background required

Responsibilities

• Identify emerging vascular surgery practices and opportunities to strengthen care delivery.
• Review patient outcomes, service volumes, dashboards, and program metrics for improvement.
• Support initiatives aimed at reducing complications and preventing readmissions and improving patient experience.
• Coordinate professional education programs (Aortic Symposium, vascular education events, conferences, CE activities).
• Secure speakers, organize event logistics, and partner with marketing for outreach.
• Engage in vascular screening events and build relationships with referral sources and community partners.
• Develop patient and family education on vascular conditions and genetic vascular diseases.
• Collaborate with physicians and teams across Vascular Surgery, Cardiac Surgery, Cardiology, and Interventional Radiology.
• Transform ideas into practical initiatives to support growth and outcomes.
