Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a Clinical Coordinator to facilitate patient flow, coordinate activities and communication for the clinical area nursing unit during the assigned shift. This role serves as a resource and leader for patients, staff, health care providers, administration and other disciplines.

Requires Virginia RN licensure (or eligible compact state) and BLS/HCP certification. Minimum 3 years of clinical or supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing; RN to BSN plan required within two to five years.
• Current Virginia RN licensure or eligible compact state licensure.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient flow and coordinates activities for the clinical area nursing unit during assigned shift.
• Serves as a resource and leader for patients, staff, and other disciplines.
• Organizes and plans work with input from patient/family, using sound clinical judgment.
