Job summary

USC Care Medical Group is seeking a Nurse Lead to oversee nurse staffing, patient flow, and direct patient care within the infusion center. The Nurse Lead will collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, social workers, and other professionals to ensure safe, efficient unit operations and high-quality patient care.

The role requires a BSN, at least 2 years’ infusion center nursing experience, and strong critical thinking, planning, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• BSN required from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience in an infusion center.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical and planning skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• RN license in California (CA DCA).

Responsibilities

• Complete initial unit assessment at shift start and coordinate with staff.
• Delegate tasks and supervise staff to ensure safe patient care.
• Manage patient assignments and ensure safety, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams to optimize patient flow and throughput.
• Lead unit huddles, monitor staffing, and support unit leadership.
