Job summary

UNC Rex Holly Springs Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse (RN) to provide competent nursing care in a growing 7BT Med Surg unit. This full-time night shift (36 hours) centers on patient assessment, planning and delivery of care within a supportive team.

The unit is expanding from 12-17 beds to a 24-bed unit opening in September 2026, with opportunities to impact workflow, care delivery and unit culture while earning up to incentives and relocation assistance described in the listing.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Education - Identifies learning needs of patient/family and educates accordingly.
• Evaluation of Care - Participates in interdisciplinary evaluation of patient care and promotes continuity of care.
• Implementation - Delivers complex care, prioritizes tasks, and adheres to policies and procedures.
• Leadership - Supports unit goals, communicates effectively, and promotes safe, cost-effective care.
• Patient Assessment - Synthesizes data to plan and prioritize patient care including discharge planning.
