UNC Health Johnston Health Smithfield is seeking a Clinical Nurse to provide competent nursing care on the 3rd Floor Medical/Surgical unit. You will coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting, reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director.

The unit handles a mix of medical diagnoses with 33 beds, including pneumonia, heart failure, COPD, diabetes, and more. Full-time shifts are 12 hours (0645-1915 or 1845-0715) with weekend rotations.

Qualificações

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.

• Education - Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self.
• Evaluation of Care - Identifies expected patient outcomes and communicates with the team to promote continuity of care.
• Implementation - Demonstrates competence in care of patients with complex problems and organizes care.
• Leadership - Develops goals and participates in unit goals and performance improvement.
• Patient Assessment - Recognizes data to determine priorities for care and assess discharge needs.
• Planning - Collaborates with patient/family to update the plan of care.
• Research - Reads journals and discusses applicability of new ideas.
