Job summary

Ashby Ponds by Erickson Senior Living in Virginia is seeking a Clinical Manager to join our clinical leadership team. You will oversee assessment, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of safe, person-centered care in your assigned neighborhood, while mentoring staff to grow professionally and enhance their skills.

The role requires an RN with 3+ years in skilled nursing/long-term care, a current RN license, CPR and EMR experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ RN experience on a nursing unit (skilled nursing, long term care, assisted living or hospital).
• Current Registered Nurse license for the state of operation.
• Current CPR required.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, internet and web applications.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating, implementing, and overseeing the clinical care of guests/residents in skilled nursing/long-term care neighborhoods.
• Maintaining clinical practice and processes per Erickson Senior Living policies and nursing standards.
• Ownership of documentation processes including MDS, care plans, incident reporting and charting requirements.
• Ensuring appropriate staff coverage based on guest/resident acuity and providing recommendations.
• Monitoring infection control for staff and residents and developing effective infection control processes.
• Analyzing, developing, and implementing Quality Improvement measures for clinical indicators/benchmarking.
• Collaborating with Staff Development to ensure training and competency reviews are completed.
• Participating in clinical leadership meetings such as Wound Rounds, Clinical Operations, Utilization Review, and PI/RM/Safety committees.
• Providing leadership during annual survey/complaint investigations and regulatory audits.
