Clinical Manager Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee all direct care patient services provided by clinical personnel.
- Develop, plan, implement, analyze, and organize clinical operations for a specific location.
- Conduct and delegate patient assessments, update care plans, interpret patient needs, and ensure adherence to company, physician, and health facility policies.
- Manage caregiver assignments and oversee care delivery to all patients at the location.
- Review patient information, determine home health or hospice needs, and ensure patients meet admission criteria.
- Assign clinicians to cases and guide them to improve performance and quality of care.
- Assist clinicians in establishing therapeutic goals and developing patient Plans of Care.
- Monitor documentation for compliance with regulations and ensure timely billing.
- Coordinate communication among team members, physicians, and caregivers to ensure appropriate care and outcome planning.
- Work with the Branch Director and Finance Department to meet revenue and budget goals.
- Participate in sales and marketing initiatives.
- Supervise clinical staff, handle disciplinary actions, and participate in hiring and training.
- Assess staff educational needs and conduct ongoing staff education.
- Analyze situations for problems and evaluate alternative solutions using Performance Improvement principles.
- Review clinical documentation for appropriateness and compliance.
- Lead QA/PI activities and work with Utilization Review staff on performance data.
- Provide direct patient care only in emergencies and act as Branch Director in absence.
- Ensure compliance with standards and participate in performance improvement activities.
- Maintain relationships with referral sources and participate in professional organizations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Skills
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current state license as a Registered Nurse.
- Proof of current CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
- At least two years as a Registered Nurse with one year of management experience in home care or hospice.
Additional Details
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Pay Range: $84,100 - $115,800 per year (may vary based on location and experience). This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on performance.
