Job summary

Requirements include NH RN licensure, BLS, BSN preferred, and at least one year of clinical nursing experience. This role reports to the Nurse Manager and may involve supervising nursing assistants.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in New Hampshire.
• BSN preferred; ADN may be considered with experience.
• Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Bases nursing actions by applying purposeful, organized thinking to make clinical judgments.
• Gathers data through history taking and physical assessment to plan and implement interventions.
• Develops, evaluates and revises the plan of care and nursing actions.
• Documents care provided and patient progress toward outcomes.
• Directs and supervises others in delegated nursing activities.
• Teaches patient and/or family about the plan of care and discharge preparation.
• Manages time and resources to deliver patient care.
• Administers medications to patients.
• Provides direct patient care.
• Leads the health care team.
• Serves as a Resource Person for the shift.
• Serves as a preceptor for new employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
