Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Louisiana is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to provide both routine and complex care in a clinical setting. The role involves independent practice, patient assessment, and delivering care using the nursing process.

You will also delegate appropriately to other care providers to help manage clinical situations. Ideal candidates have a BSN (preferred), at least 1 year of related nursing experience, and hold current RN licensure with ACLS and BLS certifications.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; RN license in state of employment or a compact state.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• ACLS certification required; BLS required; RN license in state of employment or compact.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of competencies; leads/self-management responsibilities.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process for assigned patients.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol; monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given.
• Educates patients, families and caregivers; identifies issues and resources.
