Job summary

LifeCare Hospitals of North Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Carrollton, TX to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients. The RN will direct patient/family teaching and discharge readiness to prepare for self-care at home or continued care.

Candidates must have graduated from an approved RN program, hold a valid RN license in Texas, and maintain BLS; ACLS within six months for ICU/high-ops nurses is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Registered Nurse program.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state where practicing is required.
• Current BLS certification is required upon hire. ACLS certification is required within six months of hire for ICU/high-ops nurses.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan care in collaboration with the transdisciplinary team.
• Implement and evaluate the plan of care; delegate tasks as appropriate and respond to emergencies.
• Document patient status changes and communicate with supervisors and physicians.
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge planning with education for patients and families.
