Job summary

LifeCare Hospitals of North Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for adult and geriatric patients at our Carrollton, TX campus. The RN will lead handoffs and coordinate with the transdisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered care and readiness for discharge.

Two years in acute or LTACH settings is preferred. Active RN license in Texas and BLS are required; ACLS within six months for ICU/high-ops units.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in an acute or LTACH setting preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification required on hire; ACLS within six months for ICU/high-ops nurses (optional for non-ICU/high-ops).

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan care in collaboration with the transdisciplinary team.
• Implement and evaluate nursing care; delegate as appropriate and respond to emergencies.
• Educate patients and families; coordinate discharge planning and teaching.
