Job summary

Fremont Healthcare Center seeks a Registered Nurse to assess patient health, administer medications, and coordinate care under physician orders in a clinical setting.

The RN will supervise LVNs and CNAs, communicate with physicians about changes in conditions, document care, and educate patients and families on health topics. Shift work may be required and California RN licensure and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Valid State licensure as an RN.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients by physical examination including pertinent diagnostic testing to determine health status.
• Administers medications and treatments.
• Participates in the care planning process and oversees implementation of the plan.
• Supervises LVNs and Certified Nursing Assistants/Nursing Assistants.
• Communicates with physicians regarding changes in conditions, diagnostic test results, etc.
• Documents assessments and care in compliance with standards of care and company policy.
• Educates patients and their families on health-related issues.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

Valid State licensure as an RN

Current CPR certification
