Job summary
Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 2 North Med Surg unit at Advocate Trinity Hospital in Chicago. This full-time role offers 0.9 FTE with a 7a-7p schedule and pays $41.10–$61.65 per hour, with a 36-hour workweek across a 7-day cycle.
You will lead clinical and support staff, coordinate patient care, ensure safety and quality, and participate in budgeting and program development in collaboration with unit leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or equivalent nursing degree and state RN licensure.
- Experience in acute care nursing and ability to lead staff.
- BSN in progress within 5 years may be required.
Responsibilities
- Direct clinical and support staff to coordinate resources for patient flow.
- Deliver nursing care using the nursing process and evaluate outcomes.
- Promote communication among patients, families, and staff to optimize care.
- Provide guidance and supervision to employees in collaboration with leadership.
- Assist with HR tasks and monitor staffing to maintain productivity.
- Ensure quality of care and compliance with policies and regulations.
