Job summary

Advocate Christ Medical Center – Med Surg: IU 4 West in Chicago seeks an RN for a full-time role (36 hours/week). The position offers a pay range of $38.20 to $57.30 per hour and eligibility for benefits. Preferred BSN and current RN license with state privileges. BLS required; strong clinical judgment and communication are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Certification/Registration/License: BLS; RN license with state privileges.
• Experience: Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: strong clinical judgement, communication, and time management.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor patients, adjust care plans, and collaborate with the care team to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain safety culture and document accurately in the EHR.
• May administer medications and treatments per protocols.
• Demonstrate effective communication, feedback, and teamwork; delegate appropriately.
• Pursue professional development and maintain required certifications.
