Job summary

Maysville Community and Technical College is seeking a full-time, 10-month Clinical Laboratory Instructor for the Mount Sterling Campus to teach Registered Nursing in-person. The instructor will supervise clinical, laboratory, simulation, and practicum activities, ensuring alignment with KBN, ACEN, and college standards.

The role emphasizes supervision, evaluation, remediation, and collaboration with faculty to deliver high‑quality nursing education and student learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current, active, unencumbered RN license in Kentucky.
• Minimum of two years of full-time RN direct patient care within the past five years.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Experience with simulation-based education and nursing pedagogy is desirable.
• Experience supervising nursing students and familiarity with accreditation processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and instruction in clinical, laboratory, simulation, and practicum settings.
• Facilitate clinical learning experiences for groups of up to ten students per instructor.
• Collaborate with nursing faculty to align didactic and clinical learning.
• Evaluate student performance using established outcomes and tools.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and evaluations; provide remediation as needed.
• Support simulation and laboratory activities, ensuring equipment readiness.
• Coordinate clinical placements and liaise with healthcare facilities.
• Participate in program assessment, accreditation efforts, and faculty meetings.
