Job summary

Baptist Health, a leading healthcare system in central Alabama, seeks an RN Clinical Informatics Specialist to optimize clinical IT applications and coordinate workflow improvements. You will train physician staff, residents, and super-users while collaborating with IT and leadership on system implementations and upgrades.

The role requires an RN license, a nursing degree, and at least one year of clinical nursing experience, with preference for BSN and IT subject-matter expertise.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year clinical nursing experience required.
• Experience as a clinical IT subject matter expert or super-user preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource for clinical applications and coordinate workflow improvements.
• Provide training to physician staff, residents, locums, and midlevel providers; ongoing education for super-users.
• Assist IT with implementations and upgrades of inpatient clinical applications.
• Collaborate with leadership and follow change management processes.
