Job summary

Banner Health is seeking an RN Clinical Education Specialist in Mesa, AZ. This corporate-based hybrid role supports staff education, develops clinical curricula, and ensures competency in EHR documentation.

You will travel 2–3 days onsite to training rooms and work from a home office on other days, with a schedule typical 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. The position requires a Master’s in Nursing and active RN licensure.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing or related field required.
• Current RN licensure in state of practice.
• BLS certification required.
• Three to five years of work experience in a specialty area or as an education coordinator/instructor in healthcare.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation and computer technology skills, strong organization and communication skills, and the ability to take initiative, solve problems and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Supports and develops staff within the facility/entity, including preceptors, new graduates and experienced clinicians, serving as a role model for proficient clinical practice and applications.
• Leads the interpretation, implementation and evaluation of educational programs aligned with organizational goals and standardizes onboarding and educational programs.
• Oversees orientation of new hires and transferring staff from classroom to clinical areas.
• Develops and delivers clinical curriculum and educational materials using adult learning principles.
• Evaluates learning effectiveness and communicates feedback to leadership to improve training.
• Participates in committees and teams to research and implement educational programs and new practice initiatives.
