Job summary

Banner Health in Arizona is seeking a registered nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care across the continuum in accordance with standards of practice.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, document care, ensure discharge planning, and contribute to high-quality outcomes while maintaining clinical competencies. A valid RN license and BLS are required, with preferred BSN.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Additional certification or continuing education may be required.
• Experience in the clinical area for which applying is desired.
• Must maintain clinical performance competencies.
• Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge needs.
• Formulates a plan of care with patient, family and health team input.
• Implements the plan of care through direct patient care and supervision of staff.
• Evaluates the patient and family's response to care and revises the plan as needed.
• Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record.
• Provides care based on the best evidence available and participates in unit leadership.
• Interacts with staff, physicians and families to coordinate care and ensure continuity.
