Inova Fairfax Medical Campus seeks a Nurse Clinical Educator for the Perianesthesia (PACU) to guide new and experienced staff in patient safety and high-quality care across Preop to Phase 2 recovery. The role emphasizes education, competency assessment, and program development within a leading health system.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, with some flexibility to meet department needs, offering opportunities to influence clinical practice and advance nursing education within Inova

Qualifications

Master's degree in nursing or enrolled in Master’s program with plan and timeline
Active RN license in Virginia or multi-state license
BLS certification from American Heart Association
2 years of progressive nursing experience in designated specialty
3 months of experience as a preceptor

Responsibilities

Assess competency of new nursing staff using system strategies and tools
Translate theory and evidence-based practice into educational experiences
Prepare annual self-development plans and professional goals
Contribute to quality and safety initiatives across the organization
