Job summary

Jackson Hospital seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator/Educator to support safe patient care in Critical Care, Progressive Care, and Cardiac Step Down units. The role assists the Department Director and Patient Care Manager, provides education, and serves as a clinical resource during the shift.

Requirements include current unrestricted RN licensure in AL or multi-state, BLS, ACLS and PALS within 6 months, and 3 years of RN experience with ICU bedside emphasis preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS required; ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of start date.
• 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, 3 years of recent ICU bedside experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of safe patient care through the nursing process; assist with patient care issues and education.
• Serve as a clinical resource to staff during assigned shift; collaborate with Professional Development to ensure staff compliance with required education and clinical competencies.

FT Days, flex - Clinical Coordinator for Critical Care Units, Progressive Care Unit and Cardiac Step Down Unit

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator/Educator assists the Department Director and or Patient Care Manager (s) in ensuring the delivery of safe patient care through the nursing process by assisting with patient care issues, providing education and serving as clinical resource to staff during the assigned shift. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator works with the Professional Development Department to ensure all staff are compliant with required education and routinely assess the clinical competencies for appropriate staff.

Current unrestricted AL or Multi State RN licensure; BSN preferred.BLS required; ACLS and PALS required within in 6 months of start date.

3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, 3 years of recent ICU bedside experience preferred.
