Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a registered nurse to direct and provide professional care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The role coordinates daily clinical and operational unit activities on a patient-care team.

The candidate will lead staffing decisions, mentor staff, and ensure nursing care aligns with quality and HIPAA guidelines while maintaining a focus on patient safety and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or relevant experience as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
• Current State of PA RN licensure OR current multi-state licensure through the eNLC.
• Master’s degree in Nursing, MBA or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversees, monitors and collects data related to the facility and department’s quality and satisfaction measures.
• Serves as the clinical expert and role model for staff; may perform supervisory duties.
• Demonstrates effective leadership and communication to enhance professional relationships.
• Utilizes the nursing process to plan and coordinate patient care for the age appropriate population.
• Ensures appropriate staffing levels to support routine operations within productivity requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
