Job summary

Highmark Health's Allegheny Health Network seeks a Registered Nurse to join the CTICU/ICU team. The RN assesses patients, plans and implements care, and collaborates with physicians and intensivists to deliver high-quality, nurse-led care in a fast-paced cardiothoracic service line.

You will participate in quality initiatives, maintain HIPAA compliance, mentor junior staff, and ensure safety standards across shifts.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via eNLC is required.
• Preferred certification in area of specialty (e.g., cardiothoracic nursing).
• CPR certification and required background clearances (ACT 34/33/73/FBI) are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing leadership in a professional practice setting and supervise staff as needed.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for complex cardiothoracic cases.
• Collaborate with physicians, intensivists, and the care team to ensure patient-centered outcomes.
• Promote patient safety initiatives and participate in department quality improvement.
