Job summary

MultiCare Rockwood Clinic in Spokane, WA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Coordinator to oversee daily clinic operations and provide clinical leadership across RNs, LPNs, and CMAs. The role combines administrative coordination with direct patient care in a dynamic outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Nursing, Washington RN license or multi-state endorsement, BLS, possible ACLS, and at least two years of RN experience in a clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required or completed within five years from date of hire; RN with 15+ years or internal candidates hired before Jan 1, 2021 may be considered in lieu of education agreement
• Washington State RN license or multi-state licensure endorsement (MSL)
• Current BLS Certification
• Advanced Life Support certification may be required after hire depending on site
• Two years RN experience required; preferably in a clinical setting
• Certification in relevant clinical specialty or nursing leadership preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical supervision of RNs, LPNs, CMAs, and other staff; guides problem-solving and takes corrective action as needed
• Sets clinical goals for assigned areas with nursing and clinic leadership
• Uses the nursing process to optimize patient functioning and health
• Triages patients in person, by phone and secure messages following protocols
• Makes clinical decisions using relevant standards and data
• Delivers medical regimens as directed by physicians and APPs
• Delegates patient care functions to staff according to education and competence
• Advocates for ethical, holistic care respecting diverse patient backgrounds

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Coordinator is responsible for daily oversight and coordination of activities within the assigned clinic in collaboration with clinic leadership. The position is responsible for both administrative and direct patient care services and serves as the clinical role model and clinical resource to a variety of roles to include: Clinic RNs, Licensed Practical Nurses, MA-C, etc.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical supervision of RNs, LPNs, CMAs, observing skill level and knowledge, and assisting in change as needed; imparts knowledge in a facilitative manner to improve patient care and assists with problem-solving as needed; Takes corrective action as needed
• Sets clinical goals for areas assigned in collaboration with organizational nursing leadership and clinic leadership
• Utilizes nursing process as a systematic problem-solving approach to nursing care, facilitating an optimal level of functioning and health for the patient
• Triages patients in person, via telephone and secure messages, utilizing protocols, guidelines, and standards
• Makes decisions regarding patient care, utilizing critical thinking skills including knowledge and integration of relevant standards, resources, and data
• Delivers medical regimens as directed by physicians and APPs utilizing assessment and analysis skills
• Delegates selected patient care functions to others in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence
• Advocates for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 15+ years of service or internal candidates hired before January 1, 2021 may be considered in satisfaction of this requirement in lieu of an education agreement
• Advance degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
• Registered Nurse license (RN) in Washington State or multi-state licensure endorsement (MSL)
• Current BLS Certification
• Advanced Life Support certification may be required after hire, depending on assigned clinic site
• Two years of RN experience required; preferably in a clinical setting
• Certification in relevant clinical specialty or nursing leadership preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $47.03 - $67.66 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
